Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026
1. About This Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how LearnKrafter ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, stores and shares information when you use our website, web application and related services (the "Service"), and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here. Our Terms of Service also apply.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information: your name, email address, optional phone number and password. Passwords are stored only in hashed form. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and verified email address from Google.
- Profile information (optional): details you choose to add, such as institution, location, a short bio and a profile picture.
- Content you create: the worksheets you generate, the settings and options you choose, and any text, words or images you provide to customise a worksheet. Your generation history is kept in your account so you can find and re-download it.
- Credits, plans and purchases: your credit balance, how credits were added or used, your plan and its validity period, shop orders, and referral activity.
- Payment information: payments are processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. We receive and store order and payment identifiers, the amount and the payment status. We do not receive or store your card, UPI or bank details.
- Communications: messages you send us, including support requests and feedback.
- Technical and usage data: device and browser type, operating system, IP address, pages and features used, and error and security logs.
- Referral information: if you use or join through a referral link, we record who referred whom, the referral's status and credits earned, and the IP address used at sign-up, which we use to detect duplicate or fraudulent accounts. People you refer see only that you invited them; you see their first name and a partly hidden email address.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Create and secure your account, and sign you in.
- Generate, store and deliver the worksheets you request.
- Manage credits, plans, purchases and referrals, and process payments.
- Send service emails such as account activation and password resets. We send educational or product updates only where permitted, and you can opt out of those at any time.
- Respond to support requests and feedback.
- Maintain, secure and improve the Service, and detect fraud, abuse and errors.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
4. Sharing of Information
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- Service providers: we share only what is needed with providers who help us run the Service, such as Razorpay (payments), Google (sign-in), and our hosting and email-delivery providers. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
- Workspace members: if you invite others to your workspace, they can see content and activity shared in that workspace.
- Legal and safety: we may disclose information where required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users, the public or the Service.
- Business changes: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may be transferred, and we will notify you of any change in how it is handled.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
- We use cookies that are necessary for the Service to work, mainly secure session cookies that keep you signed in, and browser local storage for preferences and your shopping cart.
- We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies. If we introduce analytics or advertising tools, we will update this policy.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but you may not be able to sign in or use some features without them.
6. Data Retention
- We keep your information while your account is active and as long as needed to provide the Service.
- If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal information, except where we must keep certain records (for example payment and tax records) to comply with law, resolve disputes or prevent fraud.
7. Data Security and Storage
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including hashed passwords, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Your information may be stored and processed on servers operated by our hosting providers, which may be located outside your country.
8. Children's Privacy
LearnKrafter is intended for parents, guardians and educators, not for children. Accounts are for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Please do not include children's personal details (such as full names, photos or school records) in the content you provide. If we learn that a child's personal data has been collected without appropriate consent, we will delete it promptly.
9. Your Rights and Choices
- Subject to applicable law (including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may request to access, correct, update or delete your personal information, withdraw consent for specific uses, and ask how your information is handled.
- You can update your name, phone number and profile details yourself in Account Settings.
- For other requests, including account deletion, email us at learnkrafter@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version is always available on this page with its “Last updated” date. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
11. Contact Us and Grievances
If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, or wish to raise a grievance about how your personal data is handled, please contact us. We will acknowledge and address your request within a reasonable period.
